@taiwan_girl said in Tonight's dinner. It's November, right? So TURKEY!!!: How was it? It was okay. Not great, but certainly okay. I think the broiling I did might have made it dry out a bit more than I'd like. I also cooked it for 2 hours (to 160 degrees). Perhaps that had something to do with it as well. However, in a tightly-sealed Dutch oven, probably not. At any rate, we got a total of 4 meals out of my efforts tonight!

I realize that some companies look at the money and think that the difference is not worth it to fly someone out for a meeting, but in many cases, I do think so. I have fly to places where i have spent double or triple the time traveling than for the meeting. But it was worth it. I remember a commercial for a hotel chain a while back "You cannot FAX/email a smile" "You cannot text a handshake or pat on the back" "You cannot email a shared dinner and conversation" etc I realixe that the world is changing and video/audio conference will be used much more than before, but still

@Doctor-Phibes said in Can we try to tone it down a little?: It's no good bolting the stable door once you've led the gift horse to water. Yeah, but you can sit on its head and drown it.

Again if the Vaccine is 90% effective American perspective of the job to be done will be so so different. Mostly distribution effectiveness. Not like Biden will get us to think about how dangerous it is.

Correlation does not imply causation. And that's what the study says. And it's a retrospective study. True. I was judging the case by your "tl;dr" version, which uses the phrasing "may face", which sounds more like causality to me.

@jon-nyc said in Trump's reaction to losing: The problem is the websites you follow show rumors and apparent irregularities but don’t present the information when they are debunked or fully explained. Take for instance the two examples you give - the 6k error in that MI county has been identified as user input problem which has nothing to do with the functioning of the software and the WI apparent turnout anomaly was a combination of bad data and a lack of knowledge about how WI works. And you constantly follow the NYT, which is a steaming pile of calculated Left Wing bullshit. But I will give them kudos for it admitting it.

I'm surprised the list is that short. If they were able to find the 6K votes glitch last week, how come they haven't found any since then? If there are supposed to be all these other counties that have the same problem, it seems like we should have heard some invalid vote counts from them by now.
